Species in this vibe
Common Earthworm
A hermaphrodite that lives in deep vertical burrows and generally leaves them only to feed and mate.
Ghost Bat
Australia's only carnivorous bat, a night hunter that eats even the bones, teeth and fur of its prey.
Inland Taipan
Rated the most toxic venom of any snake in lab tests on mice, carried by a shy snake whose handful of known bite victims all survived.
Russell's Viper
A South Asian viper whose venom varies across India, enough that one antivenom did poorly against snakes from the semi-arid north in mouse tests.
Saltwater Crocodile
Up to 23-foot apex archosaur, and the species behind the highest bite force measured in any animal: 3,689 pounds.
Stag Beetle
Antler-like jaws for wrestling rivals, years spent as a larva tunnelling through rotting wood, and just a few weeks as an adult to find a mate.
