Terms of Use & Educational Disclaimer
AnimalTracks pairs bizarre biology with killer soundtracks. Read our policies regarding theoretical battle simulations, wildlife safety, media attribution, and data privacy.
1. Battle Arena: Purely Algorithmic Thought Experiments
The Battle Arena and head-to-head animal comparisons simulate hypothetical encounters using a deterministic mathematical engine. Outcomes are calculated from published anatomical measurements, kinetic bite forces, toxin classifications, and physical speeds.
AnimalTracks strictly condemns real-world animal fighting, bloodsports, and baiting of any kind. Real animals should never be provoked, captured, or pitted against one another. Our combat simulations exist purely as theoretical physics and biology exercises to explore evolutionary adaptations.
Simulated outcomes do not represent definitive biological guarantees. Real ecological interactions depend on micro-environments, health, juvenile status, ambush angles, and luck.
2. Real-World Wildlife Safety & Conservation
Many creatures documented on this site possess lethal neurotoxins, potent hemotoxins, or formidable physical strength capable of inflicting serious injury or death.
- Never handle wild animals: Do not touch, corner, capture, or attempt to pet wild animals in their natural habitats or urban spaces.
- Respect wild boundaries: Always observe wildlife from a safe, legal distance using binoculars, zoom lenses, or guided tours.
- No exotic pets: Undomesticated wildlife belong in healthy wild ecosystems, not private cages or living rooms.
- Emergency medical care: If bitten or stung by an unfamiliar creature, seek immediate professional emergency medical evaluation. Do not rely on internet guides for emergency first aid.
3. Musical Subcultures & Artist Endorsement Disclaimer
AnimalTracks pairs wild species with real musical artists and tracks based on associative biological energy (e.g. high-speed hunters paired with thrash metal, benthic deep-sea scavengers paired with abyssal doom metal).
These pairings represent artistic editorial curation and cultural commentary. Featured musical artists, record labels, and performers do not sponsor, endorse, or officially collaborate with AnimalTracks.wiki.
Audio playback and track metadata are powered by public embed players (such as Spotify). All rights, trademarks, and copyrights in the recordings and compositions remain the sole property of their respective creators and rights holders.
4. Photos & Attribution
Wildlife photos on AnimalTracks come from Wikimedia Commons, plus a small number from iNaturalist. Each photo is used under the license its creator chose, or because it is in the public domain. Most use Creative Commons licenses such as CC BY or CC BY-SA, and a few use other free licenses such as the GNU Free Documentation License. Each species profile credits the photographer and names the license for every photo in its gallery.
These licenses belong to the photographers, not to AnimalTracks. If you want to reuse a photo, follow the license shown in its credit.
Conservation categories come from the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Each species page links its category to the Red List assessment its profile cites, or to the Red List itself where the profile cites none. The Red List belongs to IUCN, and AnimalTracks is independent of IUCN.
If you took one of these photos and it is credited or licensed incorrectly, contact us with details and we will correct the credit or remove the photo.
5. Privacy & Young Visitors
AnimalTracks is made for young learners, educators, and wildlife fans, so it collects as little as possible.

6. Scientific Corrections & Zoological Evolution
Zoological taxonomy, bite force measurements, and conservation statuses change as biologists publish new field studies, so a profile can contain errors or fall out of date. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes without warranty.
Notice a measurement error or outdated scientific genus name? We welcome corrections from researchers, educators, and wildlife enthusiasts.
