The Scarlet Macaw (Ara macao) is a dazzling, large Neotropical parrot famous for its radiant plumage of red, yellow, and blue. Flying in lifelong pairs above the Amazonian rainforest canopy, their piercing calls and brilliant color displays define the spirit of the rainforest.
