The Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus) is the heaviest snake in the world, with females reaching over 500 pounds and lengths over 25 feet. Lurking invisibly beneath floating hyacinth mats in Amazonian river basins, it uses buoyant water mass to maneuver colossal muscular bulk with shocking speed.
