# Axolotl vs Olm: Who Would Win?

Axolotl wins this matchup, with a 65% chance of victory against 35% for Olm in our 3-round simulation. Its biggest advantage is armor and toughness, 30 to 12 out of 100.

Both are at home in rivers and wetlands, so the simulation's neutral ground is close to where they actually live.

## Verdict: Axolotl
- **Win probability**: Axolotl 65%, Olm 35%
- **Decisive weapon**: Regrows whole limbs, its tail and spinal cord, and parts of its heart and brain; heals deep skin wounds without a scar; keeps its larval gills as a breeding adult

### Round 1: Opening Clash & Speed

Both fighters trade rapid exploratory blows, testing each other's reaction times in a high-voltage standoff.

### Round 2: Clash of Superpowers

Axolotl unleashes its core evolutionary weapon: Regrows whole limbs, its tail and spinal cord, and parts of its heart and brain; heals deep skin wounds without a scar; keeps its larval gills as a breeding adult. Olm's defense rating of 12 is severely tested as the attack breaches defenses.

### Round 3: Final Resolution

Deep into round three, Axolotl's superior endurance and firepower seal the contest. Delivering a definitive blow backed by Anamanaguchi & Hatsune Miku's soundtrack, it incapacitates Olm.

## Biological Matchup Context
When contrasting Axolotl against Olm, tactical victory depends on physiological engagement range, strike speed, armor density, and chemical or physical defense mechanisms:
- **Axolotl**: The smiling cyber-amphibian that keeps its larval gills as an adult and can regrow whole legs and parts of its own brain and heart.
- **Olm**: The cave salamander with eyes buried under its skin, a predicted lifespan past 100 years, and an experimental fast of a year and a half.
